Creative Wellbeing Day

A National Social Prescribing Day Event

Thurs 14 March 2024

This year, on National Social Prescribing Day, we are celebrating creativity and culture and how it can help to improve our mental and physical wellbeing.

Along with our wonderful partners, we would love to invite you to spend the day with us at the Belgrade to try out new activities, meeting new people and sharing a chat over a free hot drink.

There will be lots of free drop-in sessions happening throughout the building for you to join in with.

Drop-in sessions will include:

• A dedicated quiet space featuring a wonderful pop-up library courtesy of Central Library

• A friendship corner hosted by Coventry Building Society

• Sensory activities for all ages, plus the chance to contribute to a piece of public art on our Exhibition Wall

• Free advice sessions from Coventry & Rugby GP Alliance and a Financial Crime Team

• Dedicated 1 hour drop-in sessions with specialist practitioners including: Conversation Café for Refugees and Asylum Seekers, Grief and Loss Café, Men’s Café (for men, trans inclusive, of all ages), Queer Café (for anyone who identifies as LGBTQIA+), Crisis Café (for people seeking help with their mental health) and a Creative Café with lots of free arts and craft activities

• Wellbeing with Winnie! Sky Blue in the Community will be bringing gorgeous therapy dog Winnie along to meet you all

There will be additional bookable sessions taking place on the day, including music, movement, drama and mindfulness. Keep checking back for updates!

We are proud to be a National Academy of Social Prescribing Event. Social Prescribing is connecting people to activities, groups and support that improve health and wellbeing. More information here.

Creative Wellbeing Day is funded by Coventry Building Society and supported by other wonderful partners, some of whom are named above, more information coming soon.
