We're donating outdated IT equipment to Air Ambulance Midlands, helping to support the charity and reduce our carbon footprint
In an ongoing effort to be an environmentally-conscious organisation, we’re always finding new ways to reduce, reuse and recycle.
We’ve recently started donating outdated IT equipment to Air Ambulance Midlands, which will help raise funds for the life-saving charity whilst at the same time reducing our carbon footprint.
Old office equipment including computers, laptops and mobile phones are being donated to the charity to help raise vital funds which will keep their medical teams helping to save lives.
The ever-changing world of technology combined with the mass transition to working from home has meant that old equipment is increasingly being replaced, but it isn’t necessarily being disposed of in the most environmentally-friendly way.
The equipment donated to Air Ambulance Midlands will be safely wiped of all data and resold, reducing the volume that could end up as landfill.
Unstable, high-saturated chemicals and plastics are used in the manufacture of IT equipment, which can break and become hazardous when dumped into landfill.
Air Ambulance Midlands value finding life in these items, and they aim to reuse as much of each donation as possible – and recycle what they can’t. We’re delighted to be helping them in their venture towards a greener planet.
