We regret to announce that a number of shows in September and October have now been postponed or cancelled
We regret to announce that due to ongoing restrictions, the following shows scheduled to take place at the Belgrade Theatre in September and October have been postponed or cancelled.
Those who have booked tickets for any of these performances will be contacted in due course and offered the choice of keeping their tickets for rescheduled dates, accepting credit to their Belgrade account, or receiving a full refund. Please do not call our box office number, since our phone lines are currently closed while our reduced staff continue to work from home.

We are continuing to review and monitor the situation in the light of the latest government guidelines, so please continue to check back to our website or follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for updates on shows scheduled to take place later in the season.
Under the current restrictions, indoor live performances are still not permitted to go ahead, and sadly, our continued inability to host shows means that the Belgrade has been forced to make some incredibly difficult decisions in order to ensure that the theatre is still here for 2021 and beyond.
It is with great sadness we are now facing the fact that some of our staff are at risk of redundancy. We are in a period of consultation with those staff and will explore every option we can to support them and the Belgrade through this unprecedented time. At present, 21 roles are at risk of redundancy.
While these consultations take place, we are taking full advantage of the government’s furlough scheme, and are continuing to operate with reduced staff numbers. We kindly ask patrons to be mindful of this challenging situation when contacting us.
We closed our doors to the public in March and as a result instantly lost 71% of our income. While we welcome the announcement of the government’s support package for the arts, sadly the timing and process make it unlikely that this will have an immediate impact on our consultations.
For now, we are delighted to have reopened our café, and are already welcoming people back into our spacious foyers for socially distanced food and drinks. We are also looking at starting up community engagement work in the building again, observing social distancing guidelines.
We would like to thank everyone who has advocated for us, shared messages of support and made donations so far. If you would like to help secure a future for our wide-ranging work both on and off our stages, please consider donating to us online or becoming a My Belgrade Member.
Thank you for your support.
